About Us
Aspen Outdoor Management Services, Inc. is a mission-driven business development, management, and consulting company focused on outdoor recreation, tourism, and rural economic development. We build, operate, and support businesses, partnerships, and visitor-serving systems that create lasting economic and community impact.
The company is led by Elisabeth Barton and Bryant Burnette, partners in both business and execution with a shared commitment to practical, on-the-ground solutions. Elisabeth serves as Founder and Principal, leading business development, strategy, and partnerships. She holds an MBA and also serves as a consultant with the Valley Sierra Small Business Development Center, supporting small businesses across the region. Bryant leads operations, infrastructure, and implementation, ensuring that ideas translate into functional, durable systems.
Together, they have launched and operate ventures including Yosemite Basecamp and Echo Adventure Cooperative, giving them direct experience in building and managing businesses within a complex, tourism-driven environment. Their work extends beyond individual businesses to include visitor services, partnership development, and collaborative initiatives that strengthen local economies and improve how visitors engage with Groveland, Stanislaus National Forest and Yosemite National Park.
In 2026, Aspen Outdoor Management Services was recognized as Business of the Year by the Valley Sierra Small Business Development Center and selected as an SBA Rural Small Business Award winner, reflecting the company’s contributions to small business development, rural economic resilience, and community-based tourism.
At its core, Aspen Outdoor Management Services operates on a simple principle: stronger businesses create stronger communities. Rather than offering abstract strategy, the company focuses on building systems that work in the real world—supporting entrepreneurs, strengthening partnerships, and developing models that balance financial sustainability with long-term community and environmental impact.
